Nicholson....the Artist
Priscilla has gained many years of
experience in art from independent study, workshops and seminars developing
her own art style, color, lighting and the technique of watercolor painting.
Priscilla has worked with several different mediums (including oils,
acrylics, and pastels) but prefers watercolor.
There are many challenges to working with
watercolor. She likes the bright intense colors and how they take on a
character all of their own. She views each painting as a private
partnership between herself and the paper.
Priscilla's inspirations and favorite
subjects include dancers, florals, landscapes, still life, and a new
challenge people.
She teaches and paints professionally and
participates in exhibitions. She is a member of the San Angelo Art
Club and has solo exhibition at the West Branch Library, in galleries and is
an invit3ed artist at the annual Stribling Art Extravaganza benefiting the
West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
Priscilla has been commissioned for
numerous paintings. She has won second place and Honorable Mentions in
the Art Club competitions, Coleman fine Arts Competition and the San Angelo
Rodeo and Stock Show. |

Ms. Nicholson has a Bachelor
of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Tulsa. She worked as an
Occupational Therapist using her art and dance training in therapy.
She teaches privately and is adjunct faculty for Angelo State University.
